The Barça Academy New Zealand Football Camps Conclude With Great Success

After two successful years in Australia, the Barça Academy has extended its reach to New Zealand, offering football camps that provide players with the chance to improve their game, make new friends, and enjoy an unforgettable experience. In this new venture, the Barça Academy New Zealand has made its debut in Wellington and Auckland. Organized by Akaw Sports—the same agency responsible for Barça Academy activities in Australia—this marks an exciting new chapter for the Academy.

Following the warm reception of the Barça Academy camps in Australia—where over 2,000 participants across 8 cities and 6 international experiences in Barcelona and Japan took part—it is now New Zealand’s turn. 

Two Weeks of Football

After hosting the Barça Academy Australia football camps, we decided to continue this adventure and bring it to New Zealand, where we have now successfully completed two editions—in Wellington from January 13 to 17 and in Auckland from January 20 to 24. More than 150 boys and girls had the chance to enjoy these New Zealand football camps and experience Barça up close, learning and growing as footballers. We also learned a lot about their culture, and we leave New Zealand with unforgettable memories.

Many families attended the Barça Academy New Zealand football camps to watch their children train and fulfill their dreams. They were delighted with the treatment their kids received from the professionals present at the event.

The Barça Academy football camps in New Zealand feature official FC Barcelona coaches who instill the club’s values and methodology in young players. The club has a strong commitment to the development and growth of football at an early age across the globe, and New Zealand is no exception.

The Next Stops 

Next steps for Barça Academy Australia football camps are coming soon. The upcoming camps will take place in Brisbane from April 7 to 11, in Newcastle from April 14 to 18, and in Canberra from April 21 to 25. These will be the next locations where the Barça brand will connect with children, allowing them to experience it firsthand with Akaw Sports and FC Barcelona.
